As the “food” of food, fertilizer plays an irreplaceable role in promoting the development of food and agricultural production. However, for a long time, the average amount of fertilizer per acre in China has reached 21.9 kg, far higher than the world average.
To this end, the Ministry of Agriculture has put forward the goal of “zero growth” of fertilizers, requiring agricultural production enterprises to shift from heavy production to heavy benefits, from heavy to heavy quality, and through optimizing the structure of fertilizer products to optimize the ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. Guide the optimization and upgrading of fertilizer products, and produce good products with good fertilizer efficiency and low cost. During the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period, potassium humate as a high-efficiency organic potash fertilizer will usher in a good opportunity for development.
Potassium humate is a high-efficiency organic potassium fertilizer, because humic acid is a biologically active preparation, which can increase soil available potassium content, reduce potassium loss, increase potassium absorption and utilization of crops, improve soil and promote crops. It can grow, improve the ability of crops to resist stress, improve crop quality, and protect agricultural ecological environment; it can be combined with urea, phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer, trace elements, etc., and can be made into high-efficiency and multi-functional compound fertilizer.
For the fertilizer industry struggling in excess, the Ministry of Agriculture has proposed that achieving zero fertilizer growth by 2020 is both a serious challenge and a profound revolution. During the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period, the following suggestions were made for the development of the humic acid potassium industry:
Increase the research and development of special and functional humic acid potassium fertilizer. At present, the competition in the fertilizer market is becoming increasingly fierce. The organic combination of humic acid and potassium fertilizer forms a humic acid potassium fertilizer with both humic acid and slow release. The fertilizer enterprises can combine the characteristics of humic acid to increase the development of special fertilizer for economic crops and special fertilizer for flower cultivation. And other new varieties of humic acid potassium fertilizer.
Combine product promotion with modern farming techniques. Due to the spatial and temporal differences in farmland nutrient balance in China, and the differences in farmland soils and crop types in different regions, the acidity and alkalinity of farmland soils in different regions vary greatly. For example, the application of inorganic salt fertilizers such as ferrous sulfate, manganese sulfate, and zinc sulfate in alkaline soils tends to be ineffective. Because in alkaline soil environments, many basic and trace elements are present in a form that cannot be absorbed by plants. The humic acid in the humic acid potassium fertilizer can alleviate the effects of converting these basic nutrients and trace elements into forms that can be absorbed by plants.
At present, China’s farmers are heavy chemical fertilizers, light organic fertilizers, heavy elemental fertilizers, light and medium trace element fertilizers, heavy nitrogen fertilizers, light phosphorus and potassium fertilizers and other issues.
At present, China’s compound fertilizer is developing from general-purpose to special-purpose. According to the statistics of fertilizer registration data of the Ministry of Agriculture, in 2014, there were 4,636 registered products containing potassium in China, of which 1,527 were humic acid fertilizers containing potassium, accounting for about 1/3. Moreover, with the increasing demand for potash in the world, the humic acid potash fertilizer industry is developing rapidly and its product range is becoming more and more abundant. It is foreseeable that various products such as mono-fertilizer, compound fertilizer and water-soluble fertilizer containing potassium humate will be more and more popular in the future.
